TurboCAD Pro 16 is a major upgrade to this premium design software solution that has delivered exceptional value for over twenty years.
In addition to dozens of enhancements to the program’s complete 2D drafting, detailing, and design tools, and 3D surface and solid modeling toolsets, v16 includes major updates to its 3D ACIS® Modeler engine and Lightworks photorealistic rendering engine.
Users will find more efficient workflow with Google™ SketchUp™ and AutoCAD®, and a powerful new Database Connect Palette too, among many other additions.

Drafting & Detailing
|
The new Xref manager is built in to the Block Palette, managing external references in your TurboCAD drawing more effectively.
Any CAD file format that TurboCAD opens is available for use as an Xref. Plus we've made major improvements to the Drafting Palette. This feature was for solid models only, and used principally for creating associative, hatched 2D sections based on standard views or sectional planes.
Now it also works on surface models, including architectural models, for example, from Google SketchUp. The drafting palette is a great way to quickly add floorplans, elevations, detailed views, and sections that need to be dimensioned and annotated in paper space. It even works with an Xref of the solid or surface model.

Expert Tools
|
With version 16, the solid modeling engine has been updated to ACIS version 18 providing a host of new and improved features.
These include improvements to extrudes, sweeps, and other modification tools that work on solids. Plus, you will find major improvements to the mechanical, architectural, and woodworking tools.

Rendering
|
TurboCAD rendering has been vastly improved. It’s easier than ever with new preset Render Styles that automatically configure numerous settings for a quick, quality image. The Render Styles Editor allows for saving your own styles for consistent, one-click access.
Material preview now allows you to see any selected item with the material and change preview scales, plus a second window that lets you preview before and after you apply changes.
Now you can drag and drop materials to facets.
And a major upgrade of the underlying render engine to Lightworks v7.9 provides global illumination, final gather, tone mapping, gamma correction, alpha channel transparency support in materials and images, better HDRI support, and dozens of new material shaders!

Share Data More Easily
|
TurboCAD Pro 16 continues to offer excellent file compatibility. Nearly 40 industry standard CAD and graphic formats are now supported. Google SketchUp support, in particular, has been greatly enhanced, and export to SketchUp (.SKP) file format has been added.
