Plot your GPS Points in TurboCAD

GPS2TurboCAD is GPS software that gives design professionals major cost savings in data collection by using recreational-grade GPS units to collect field information and plot it in TurboCAD, AutoCAD, or other CAD programs. Most recreational GPS units are well-suited for site layout and "topo-plotting" requirements that do not need great accuracy, and GPS2TurboCAD bridges the gap between these GPS units and CAD. GPS2TurboCAD lets you easily bring your GPS points into your CAD environment. At the click of a button, you can plot polylines, points, and blocks. Blocks and points can be plotted in 3D, for use in terrain modeling packages, and the blocks carry attributes showing all the point data.

Uses Most Common GPS Units
Most GPS units from Garmin and Magellan are compatible with GPS2TurboCAD, and connect at the click of a button. In addition, GPS2TurboCAD will read files exported from Garmin's MapSource and Magellan's Mapsend. Recovers Free Maps and Aerial Photos from TerraServer-USA

A popular feature of GPS2TurboCAD is the ability to view the imported points on free publicdomain aerial photos or topographic maps from Terraserver-usa. This lets the user doublecheck the data, and add new points as necessary. The maps are obtained automatically when the user clicks the "View Points" button, and then displayed in a separate window with the map, points and id clearly plotted. With one more click, the maps are sent into TurboCAD at the proper size and location for drafting!

Provides Datum Translation
