New GPU Accelerated Drawing Performance

TurboCAD’s Redsdk drawing engine, which takes advantage of GPU-based graphic cards, has now been implemented in Hidden Line and Draft Rendering mode, as well as Wireframe Mode to design up to 60 times faster in these popular modes. (Pro and Platinum only)

New Multi-threading support

The new Lightworks® 8.3 rendering engine supports multi-threading, taking advantage of multi core processors so the turn around time on the lighting and rendering calculations are much faster. ACIS® operations that include two and more objects (i.e. Boolean operations, face to face lofting, extrude to face, imprint, etc.) also now support multi-threading, so these operations execute much faster. (Pro and Platinum only)

New Window or Crossing Selection

Users can now select objects with a mouse by using the Window or Crossing methods similar to AutoCAD®. Drag the mouse from left to right to invoke Window mode and select only objects that are entirely within the blue window. Drag the mouse from right to left to invoke Crossing mode and select only objects that touch the green Crossing window. (All levels)

New Lightworks 8.3 engine

TurboCAD’s powerful rending engine now provides progressive, ray-traced rendering, improving workflow by generating fast estimates of the image and an early preview of light settings. Lightworks® 8.3 also supports multi-threading, taking advantage of multi core processors so the turn around time calculations are much faster. Anti-aliasing for geometry & materials is also improved. (Deluxe, Pro, and Platinum)

Additional Enhancements

More high performance tools only available in TurboCAD Pro and TurboCAD Pro Platinum include:

• New Database Options allow users to extract attributes from Blocks and Xrefs.
• New Multi-Select Drawings command lets you open multiple drawings in one step.
• Enhanced 2D Constraints due to the updated D-Cubed v57 DCM engine integrated into TurboCAD.
