New Ray tool
Create rays on the construction line layer to more clearly define your construction geometry. Construction lines are also now editable, and can be edited into rays. (All levels)
Enhanced Layers
TurboCAD 18 layers are more AutoCAD compatible, including a new layers dialog based upon 'Design Center'. Users also now have the ability to turn on/off Layers per Viewport. (All levels)
Improved Drafting Palette
TurboCAD’s powerful drafting palette can now be locked when inactive to disable updates of drafting objects. This excludes unnecessary drafting recalculations on each step saving time redrawing the model. This palette also now distinguishes between 'Surface' and 'ACIS Body' drafting objects automatically, & a Section Line Depth setting was added. (Pro and Platinum only)
Improved Fillet (2D) tool
The updated 2D Fillet tool can re-fillet neighboring line segments, creating a new arc segment, tangent to those line segments. It works with polyline with arc segments too. (All levels)
Additional Enhancements
TurboCAD 18 provides smarter, faster drafting and detail with these additional improvements made to all levels of TurboCAD including Designer, Deluxe, Pro and Platinum.
- Mirror tool can mirror a block & retain text orientation.
- Measurement in TurboCAD now shows a measurement history (previous distance, area, etc.).
- Text now uses the Enter key to wrap text to the next line. Users can also pick a position on screen to start a new line.
- Stretch Tool updates offer greater control with improved Rubber-banding of objects and improved visualization for more precise control of stretched objects.
- Trim Tool now works with multilines for enhanced productivity
