I have had a couple of issues come my way from TC users in the last few weeks, each slightly different, but essentially the same problem and with the same solution.

I must also mention here that both users had windows 10 and were using the latest Deluxe version.

One client had upgraded from TurboCAD Deluxe 17 to TurboCAD 2016 Deluxe. When opening some files that were previously created with TurboCAD Deluxe 17 they show a black screen within the TurboCAD 2016 Deluxe window. The file usually opened first, but as soon as they tried to zoom in or out or move the image they got a black screen with green cross-lines, although strangely it didn’t happen to all files.

The second client could see a preview of an existing drawing, but also got a black screen when trying to open. Also within a new drawing lines would disappear as soon as they clicked to finish an operation.

I’m using win 7 and have never had this problem, although it has appeared with win 10 for other of my clients.

The solution in both cases was to change from Redsdk to GDI. (Under OPTIONS – Native Draw).
