MapSnap is a plug-in for MS Office that allows you to easily insert Google Maps into Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint Documents. Rather than wasting time with oversized screen shots, pointless paint programs, or tedious clipping, then having to save and import an map into your document, MapSnap works directly inside your MS Office application, so you don’t even have to leave the program.
Once installed, a Maps Tool menu will appear in your MS Word program. To use MapSnap, simply select the Maps Tool menu tab, and click the ‘Insert Map’ Icon. A Google Maps window will appear allowing you to quickly zoom to a desired location. View street and building labels in both map and satellite view, and even view satellite maps at a 45°. Finally, click “Insert Map” to add it to your document. You can even adjust the size like you would any image in MS Word.
It’s that easy to create and share custom maps in your MS Word documents with MapSnap
